Job Description

Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee the day-to-day operations of the property, ensuring a well-maintained, efficient, and resident-focused community.
  • Manage leasing activities, including tours, resident inquiries, application processing, renewals, and move-ins/outs.
  • Utilize Yardi Elevate for reporting, resident management, workflow tracking, maintenance coordination, and operational analytics.
  • Supervise and support on-site staff, including leasing agents, maintenance personnel, and vendors.
  • Maintain high occupancy levels through effective leasing and marketing strategies.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies, fair housing laws, and local/state regulations.
  • Respond promptly and professionally to resident concerns, service requests, and escalations.
  • Oversee budgeting, rent collections, delinquency management, and financial reporting.
  • Coordinate property maintenance, inspections, vendor work, and preventative maintenance schedules.
  • Prepare and maintain accurate records, reports, and documentation.
  • Represent Garden Communities professionally and uphold its reputation for high-quality living environments.

Qualifications

  • Required: Hands-on experience with Yardi Elevate (1+ year preferred).
  • 3-5 years of property management experience, ideally in residential communities.
  • Strong understanding of leasing, resident relations, and property operations.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and decision-making skills.
  • Proven ability to manage budgets, financial reports, and operational KPIs.
  • Strong organizational skills and the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and general computer systems.
  • Familiarity with California tenant/landlord laws and fair housing regulations.

Preferred Skills

  • Experience managing a mid-sized or large residential community.
  • Knowledge of facilities/maintenance workflows.
  • Strong customer service background with a resident-first mindset.
